About the race
The Templeton 10 Mile Road Race will take place in Dundee on Sunday 8 November 2026. You can run 10 miles. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Race Details
Start Time: 10:30 am
Race numbers will be collected ON THE DAY at registration, which opens at 9 am at the Clatto Centre, Clatto Reservoir. On-the-day entries may be available if the event is not full.
Important Note: The race starts on Templeton Road, about a mile from registration. Please allow ample time to find parking, register, and reach the start line. Signs will direct you from the registration center.
Changing Facilities: Please arrive ready to run, as there are no changing facilities or showers. A room will be available to leave belongings, but organizers are not responsible for loss or damage. You can also drop extra warm clothing at the start, which will be taken to the finish (small items only, no bags).
Car Parking: Limited parking is available at the Clatto Centre and on the approach road. Please follow steward directions and be considerate of local residents. Additional parking is available at Templeton Woods Nature Hut (near the start) and Camperdown Park, approximately 1-1.5 miles from the start.
Route and Water Stations: The accurately measured route is mainly a clockwise loop, returning through the woods in the last mile. Marshals, directional signage, and mile markers will be present. There will be two water stations at approximately 3 and 7 miles, with water also available at the finish.
Timing: This is not a chip-timed event. Your official time is measured from the gun start to crossing the finish line.
Headphones: Roads are not closed. In accordance with UKA rule 240 S5, in-ear headphones are not permitted unless medically prescribed. Bone-conducting headphones are allowed.
First Aid: First aid cover will be provided.
Finish: The finish line is in a small field by the registration center.
Time Limit: All runners must complete the course within 2 hours and 20 minutes.
Refreshments: Hot and cold drinks and refreshments will be available in the Clatto Centre. Please bring your own cup/mug.
Results: Results will be published on Webscorer and the event website within 24 hours, and on the Scottish Athletics website within a week.
Prizes
Presentation starts around 12:15 pm. Cash prizes for male and female categories:
- Overall: 1st £60, 2nd £50, 3rd £40
- Age Groups (40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+): 1st £40
- 1st DRR (not winning other prizes): £30
- Team Prizes (1st, 2nd, 3rd Male and Female, 3 to count): Beer/wine/chocolates
Eligibility for age group prizes requires filling in age on the entry form. Club affiliation is required for team prizes; unattached runners are not eligible.
Goody Bags will be given to all finishers, including a surprise Templeton 10 memento.
Transfer of entries/Deferrals: Allowed up to November 1st. Refunds will only be issued if the event is cancelled, minus Entry Central charges.
