Event Overview
The Tamalpa Headlands 50K, presented by NIKE Trail and the Tamalpa Runners of Marin, showcases many of Marin County's most famous trails including Coastal, Miwok, Steep Ravine, Matt Davis and Dipsea. Located just a hop and skip from downtown San Francisco, this classic ultramarathon was founded in 1998 and gathers runners in one of the most scenic areas of the Bay Area.

Course Information
The 50K single-loop format offers fast fire road running, steep climbs, and technical sections, all while delivering breathtaking views of the Bay Area and Pacific Ocean.
Cutoff Times
- Tennessee Valley East: 11:30 AM (4 hours)
- Highway 1: 12:30 PM (5 hours)
- Cardiac 1st Pass: 2:00 PM (6 hours 30 minutes)
- Stinson Beach: 3:30 PM (8 hours)
- Cardiac 2nd Pass: 4:45 PM (9 hours 15 minutes)
- Santos Meadows Finish: 5:30 PM (10 hours)
Registration
Registration opens on February 14, 2025, and closes on August 11, 2025. Early registration is encouraged as the event has previously sold out.
