SwimRun Urban Challenge Düsseldorf 2026
The SwimRun Urban Challenge Düsseldorf 2026 is back! Experience Swedish-style SwimRun with island laps at USee, even for the Sprint distance. Features chip timing for accurate results and unique medals for all participants. Enjoy legendary atmosphere!
Race Details:
- Location: Düsseldorf | Unterbacher See (20 min from Düsseldorf city center, 30 min from Cologne city center)
- Date: 13.09.2026
- Start Times: 10:00 Uhr (Sprint), 10:15 Uhr (SuperSprint)
- Organizer: SwimRun Urban Challenge, Lehmweg 35, 20251 Hamburg
- Start/Finish Area: Strandbad Süd, Am Kleinforst 300, 40627 Düsseldorf (also where bibs are distributed)
Course Information:
- Sprint (approx. 19.5km): 5 swimming legs (total approx. 3.5 km), 6 running legs (total approx. 16 km), 10 transitions.
- SuperSprint (approx. 9km): 4 swimming legs (total approx. 800 m), 5 running legs (total approx. 8 km), 8 transitions.
Running routes are marked and secured by marshals. Swimming routes are marked with buoys and secured by DLRG Erkrath. Distances are approximate and may change slightly. No DTU licenses are required.
Minimum Age / Age Groups:
- Sprint: Individual start: from 2009 (Youth A); Team start (with adult): from 2011 (Youth B)
- SuperSprint: Individual start: from 2009 (Youth A); Team start (with adult): from 2013 (Pupils A)
Neoprene requirements will be announced closer to the event based on water temperature, following DTU guidelines.
