Solstice at the Lakes - Leybourne Lakes Country Park
Solstice at the Lakes is a timed trail running event held on 20–21 June 2026 at Leybourne Lakes Country Park, Kent. The course is a fully marked 2.5 km loop that combines maintained trail, gravel and tarmac. The route is described as flat and scenic.
Race formats include:
- 6-hour solo
- 12-hour solo
- 24-hour solo, pair relay or team relay (up to 4 people)
The event features a race village with food and drink for runners, toilets, changing areas, rest zones and seating for support crews. Official race timing and live lap updates are provided, and a medical team is on site. A medal is awarded to any runner who completes at least one lap. Winner awards are given for the furthest distance in each category.
Practical details and rules include paid car parking at the park, spectators welcome, and a cupless policy requiring runners to bring a reusable cup. Minimum age to enter is 20 years on race day. The course must be completed on foot with no external assistance; crewing is allowed only at the designated support area. Overnight participants must carry a headtorch with sufficient batteries.
