Sokolský běh republiky – Potštejn
The Sokolský běh republiky in Potštejn will take place on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. This event is a race, and while timing may not be official, participants will still receive their results and be eligible for awards. Each participant will receive a start package with a race number and gifts from organizers and partners. A republic-shaped medal awaits finishers.
Main Course
Adults 3.3 km
The adult course starts at Pod Lipami near the playground and follows a paved path to Vochtánka. It then climbs through terrain under Potštejn Castle, circles the castle via narrow forest paths, and begins a gradual descent. The remaining part of the route goes through the village to Bělisk. The course is hilly.
Children's Races
- 2.8 km (born 2015-2018): Starts at Pod Lipami, follows a paved path through the linden alley to Vochtánka camp, then continues upstream along the Divoká Orlice river. The return path is partially the same. The course ends at Bělisk and is flat.
- 1 km (born 2019 and younger): Starts at Pod Lipami, follows a paved path through the linden alley to the mill race bridge, then turns 180° and continues on a narrow path between houses. The course ends at Bělisk and is flat.
Accompanying Program
Near the start/finish, various entertainment stations for children will be available, including target throwing, tunnel crawling, and jumping.
Facilities for Runners
Tents for leaving belongings will be available near the start. Toilets are located in the nearby Sokolovna. Light refreshments will be available at the finish line.

Parking is available in the village parking lots.
