Sokolský běh republiky – Jedovnice
The Sokolský běh republiky in Jedovnice will take place as a VELKÝ ZÁVOD, meaning it will be professionally timed. Prizes will be awarded to the fastest runners, but every participant will receive a starter pack with a race number and gifts from organizers and partners. A medal shaped like the Czech Republic awaits finishers.
The race facilities are located in the Tyršova osada camp by rybník Olšovec, offering a pleasant environment for both competitors and spectators. There will be one main race and two children's races. Participants can look forward to a beautiful route near the water and a day full of sports and fun.
Main Course
➤ Adults 4.7 km
The 4.7 km route circles the Jedovnice ponds (Vrbové, Dubové, and Budkovan) with minimal elevation gain. The surface consists of asphalt and forest paths. The route starts at the lower gate of the Tyršova osada camp, leads towards the Kůlna guesthouse, turns right twice, goes along the dam between Dubový, Vrbový, and Budkovan ponds, then turns right again and follows the dam of Vrbový pond to the asphalt road Riviera, returning to the lower gate of Tyršova osada.
Within the adult race, winners of the "senior" category (50 years and older, born 1975 or earlier) will be announced separately.
Children's Courses
➤ 1.4 km - born 2012 - 2015
From the Tyršova osada gate towards Rakovan, across the meadow to chat Terezka and back along the asphalt road, finishing from the direction of Rakovan.
➤ 500 m - born 2016 - 2020
Children up to 10 years old will run from the Tyršova osada gate towards Alenčina studánka and back, on an asphalt road. Boys and girls will race separately.
➤ 200 m - born 2021 and younger
Will run from the Tyršova osada gate towards Alenčina studánka and back, on an asphalt road. Boys and girls will race separately.
Accompanying Program
Sports stations for children, a talk with a guest, a photo booth.
Facilities for Runners
Refreshments (soup, hot drinks, fruit, cakes) are provided in the dining room of the main building. There is a luggage storage and changing room. Toilets are available in the upper and lower parts of the area. Participant registration is in the upper part of the Tyršova osada area. The start of all races is in the lower part of the area by the pond.
Parking
Parking is recommended at the paid asphalt parking lot in Barachov, about 0.5 km from the registration point. Entry into the cottage area is prohibited.
