SLAKK GIVES BACK 5K
Join us for the SLAKK GIVES BACK 5K Walk/Run on August 1, 2026, starting at 8:00 am. The event will take place on the L'Auberge Levee Trailhead in Baton Rouge, LA. Every participant will receive an event t-shirt and a finisher medal. Register before July 1, 2026, to guarantee your shirt size.

About the Cause
All proceeds from this event will be directly donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, supporting their vital mission to advance treatments and find cures for pediatric cancer and other life-threatening diseases. St. Jude provides cutting-edge research, groundbreaking treatments, and compassionate care to children and families, regardless of their ability to pay.
About SLAKK RC
SLAKK RC is a South Louisiana run club established in 2025, offering a pace-inclusive space for walkers and runners. We meet weekly and participate in races together.
Packet Pickup
- July 31, 2026: 11:00 am - 6:00 pm at Big River Footwear Co. (7425 Corporate Blvd., Suite 800, Baton Rouge, LA 70809). Receive 10% off in-store purchases.
- Race-Day Pickup: August 1, 2026, 6:30 am - 7:30 am at L'Auberge overflow parking lot.

- 6:30 am: Day of race packet pick up
- 7:30 am: Pre-race announcements/warm-up
- 8:00 am: Race/walk starts
- 9:30 am: Awards
Course Information
The event will take place on the levee. The course is an out-and-back format with a turnaround at the cone. Water stations will be available along the course. Please stay hydrated.
Awards
Awards will be given to the Top 3 overall Male and Female finishers, as well as age group awards (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place - male and female) for the following categories: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ (subject to change based on registration).
