Severn Bridges 10k Road Race
Right in the heart of the beautiful market town of Shrewsbury, this lovely 10k race starts and ends in the Quarry Park in the centre of Shrewsbury, a beautiful riverside location. Runners will run a loop in the park and then make their way out along the banks of the River Severn, before turning around and crossing the various bridges on the return route to the finish in the Quarry.
The event is open to all and we encourage participation from all levels of runner. The race is a not-for-profit event, with costs kindly underwritten by the Shropshire Shufflers, and any surplus funds are donated to charity.
This year we have partnered with West Mercia Search and Rescue (WMSAR):
"West Mercia Search & Rescue are the official Lowland Rescue unit for the West Mercia Police area, covering 6500sq miles across Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire as part of the UK’s rescue structure. We are a charity that raises the money to fund an operational Search and Rescue Team. We have 84 operational crew, 18 non-operational members and new recruits currently in training. We provide search and rescues across urban or rural areas in land, water and everywhere in between. Our mission is to search for, locate and bring to a place of safety, missing vulnerable people."
