Sault Ste. Marie Riverfest 5k
Enjoy a 5K run or walk along the scenic Riverside Drive to celebrate the Sault Ste. Marie Riverfest on Saturday, August 16, 2025.
Event Details
The race will start/finish near the outhouse on the north side of the kid's fishing pond at Rotary Island Park. The course will be flat, fast, and an out/back.
- Aid Station: Water available near the halfway mark at the Charles T. Harvey Marina.
- Packet Pickup: Early packet pickup will be on Friday from 4-7pm at Birds Eye Outfitters (107 E Portage Ave, SSM, MI 49783). Race Day Packet pickup will be from 7am-8:15am.

Registration pricing:
- Early Registration: $15 through December 31, 2024
- January - June 30: $20
- July: $25
- August: $30
Registration will officially close at 8:30am on race day. Finisher medals will be provided to all participants.
Awards
Top male and female awards will be given, along with awards for the top male and female master's division (40+) and grandmaster's division (60+). Age group awards (5-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+) will include a custom riverfest coffee mug from Oaklawn Laser Works.
Yooper Running Company will provide chip timing and results.
