Saturn 7 Hour Time Challenge - Aberdare
This is a 7 hour timed running event held on Saturday 25 July 2026 at Dare Valley Country Park. The event uses a looped course on well maintained public footpaths with views of the surrounding countryside. The regular lap is listed as 7 km (4.37 miles) but the route may be changed to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions and a final health and safety review.
Minimum entry distance is 3 km. The lap includes internal 3 km and 5 km turn points to allow compliance with UK Athletics age rules. Laps correspond to common distances: three laps equal a half marathon, six laps equal a marathon, seven or more laps count as an ultra. A 50 km option is also available. Maximum entries are capped at 300 and minimum age is 12 years. Runners over 45 km must be 20 or older; 18 and 19 year olds may run up to 45 km.
Facilities at the venue include toilets, a cafe by race HQ, and free parking. There is a start and finish area with an aid table offering drinks and various snacks, including vegan options. Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a themed medal and distance pins for half marathon and longer distances. A simple, nonsecure bag area is provided. Bone conducting headphones are the only permitted headset type. The event is organised by Saturn Too Limited. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
