4th Annual Sabre Alumni & Friends Cross Country Meet
Join us on Saturday, August 1st, 2026, for the 4th Annual Sabre Alumni & Friends Cross Country Meet! This event is a celebration of our Sabre CC tradition, a chance to reconnect with teammates and coaches, and an opportunity to have fun competing on the Sabre Run home course.
The meet serves as a fundraiser for the Sabre CC team and the Rustie Froemming Memorial CC Scholarship. Coach Froemming was integral to the success of the Sabre CC program and the personal and athletic development of many alumni.
Event Schedule:
- Check-in and Day-of Registration: 7:30 AM - 9:00 AM at the start/finish line
- 5K Run-Walk: 9:00 AM (open to Alumni & Friends, spouses, family, teachers, community members, etc.)
- Family Fun Run: Approximately 9:45 AM (perfect for younger children and their families)
- Post-race Reception & Refreshments: Approximately 10:15 AM
- Informal Post-race Happy Hour: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM at Blue Line Sports Bar & Grill
Registration & Participation:
Meet Registration: $25.00 per individual 5K registration (+ processing fee). Get $10 off when you register 2 or more 5K racers!
Family Fun Run: FREE, no registration necessary.
Pre-registration is preferred for planning, but race-day registrations are also welcomed.
Aluminum Sabre CC branded water bottle: $15.00 (additional purchase).
Ways to Participate:
- Register for the Meet: Race, jog, walk, or stroll - all abilities are welcomed!
- Donate: Support the Sabre CC team and the scholarship fund. Donations are accepted from parents, staff, community members, and alumni.
- Spread the word!
