About the race
The Rund um Marialinden will take place in Overath on Sunday 2 May 2027. You can run or hike between 10 and 50 kilometers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.The area around Marialinden is known as the "Tuscany of the West" by connoisseurs. You can best enjoy and explore this beautiful landscape of the Rheinisch Bergischen Kreis on a long tour.
The Bürgerkomitee Marialinden has developed four hiking routes through the Bergisches Land around Marialinden. The routes vary in character, length, and walking times. The routes lead on paths and trails through forests, across meadows, and along streams and rivers. The starting point and destination is always the Marialindener Dom.
In total, there are 10 KM, 20 KM, 30 KM, or 50 KM available, which have been lovingly prepared by the Bürgerkomitee Marialinden. It is intended to be an event for RUNNERS AND HIKERS again, to bring the beauty of the Bergisches Land closer to as many participants as possible.
10km loop:
M2 - Drei Täler Runde - 11.20 km
20km two loops:
M1 - Die Aggerschleife - 8.20 km
M2 - Drei Täler Runde - 11.20 km
30km two loops:
M3 - Aggertal u. Naafbachtal - 14.30 km
M4 - Die Naafbachrunde - 16.30 km
50km four loops:
M1 - Die Aggerschleife - 8.20 km
M2 - Drei Täler Runde - 11.20 km
M3 - Aggertal u. Naafbachtal - 14.30 km
M4 - Die Naafbachrunde - 16.30 km
The loops can be run/hiked in any order and direction. The start time for all 50km participants (RUNNING and HIKING) is at 07:00. To be eligible for the ranking, ALL FOUR loops must be completed. Proof of completion is the recorded track or the records in the Race Office. The time limit for all participants is a maximum of 13 hours.
The start time for all 30km participants (RUNNING and HIKING) is at 09:00. To be eligible for the ranking, loops M3 and M4 MUST be completed. Proof of completion is the recorded track or the records in the Race Office. The time limit for all participants is a maximum of 9 hours.
The start time for all 20km participants (RUNNING and HIKING) is at 11:00. To be eligible for the ranking, loops M1 and M2 MUST be completed. Proof of completion is the recorded track or the records in the Race Office. The time limit for all participants is a maximum of 7 hours.
The start time for all 10km participants (RUNNING and HIKING) is at 13:00. To be eligible for the ranking, loop M2 MUST be completed. Proof of completion is the recorded track or the records in the Race Office. The time limit for all participants is a maximum of 5 hours.
There will be an overall timing and ranking, as well as checkpoints on each route! The goal is to allow a maximum of 200 hikers/200 runners on the course. The entry fee includes a medal and complete catering after each lap.
Important to know: The route is completely marked by the Bürgerkomitee in both directions with hiking signs M1 - M4, no further markings will be made. A GPS track for EACH loop will also be provided in good time. Carrying a GPS device and experienced handling of the same is recommended.
