Run wild for wildlife at Run Africa Alive 5K proudly sponsored by Everywhen Insurance – a truly unforgettable race experience set in the heart of Africa Alive. This isn’t just your usual 5K. It’s a chance to run for conservation, support animal welfare, and experience the zoo like never before. Follow a unique route through the park with rare, up-close views of some of Africa’s most iconic species. Along the way, you’ll pass giraffes, lions, antelope, meerkats, lemurs, African wild dogs and more, all set against stunning coastal scenery.

Make Your Run Count For Conservation
Africa Alive is part of the Zoological Society of East Anglia, a charity dedicated to supporting wildlife everywhere. While sponsorship isn’t mandatory, every penny raised helps us protect wildlife and improve animal welfare. Fundraising takes place via our GoFundMe page, with a special prize for our top fundraiser. Run, raise funds, and make a real difference.

- Entry fee: £17.50 per person
- Capacity: Max 1000 runners
- Minimum age: 6 years old (under 11s must be accompanied by an adult)
- Buggy runners and babies in slings are not permitted
- Parking: Free parking available
- Race numbers: Collected on the day
- Bag drop: Available
- Refreshments: Water stations post-race, plus hot food and drinks available to purchase
Race day timetable
- 08:30 – Zoo opens (runners and spectators arrive at Race Day Village)
- 08:30 – Runner registration opens
- 09:30 – Warm-up
- 09:45 – Race starts
- 11:00 – Zoo opens to the general public

What’s a race without a race T-shirt?
- Adults: £20 (XS–XL)
- Children: £15 (5/6, 7/8, 9/11, 12/14)
Before participating in the race, please take a moment to review our Code of Conduct (see below) to ensure a fair and smooth event for all participants. Please note that entries are non-refundable and cannot be deferred. However, transfers to another runner are available until midnight the night before. Simply log in to transfer your entry. Runners of all abilities are welcome, so lace up your shoes and join us a wild time.

We expect runners and spectators to respect all those involved in the Africa Alive 5k. We do not tolerate derogatory or demeaning conduct or language.

Expected Behaviour: ‘We Run With Respect’
- Be considerate and supportive.
- Respect the dignity and rights of others at all times.
- Be prepared to challenge or report unacceptable behaviour that you witness.
Unacceptable Behaviour: Includes but is not limited to:
- Intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory or demeaning conduct or language.
- Harassment includes comments and gestures about gender, identity, ethnicity, faith, disability, age or appearance.
