About the Event
This race commemorates Ron Daws, a 1968 Olympic marathoner and one of the original 7 founders of Run Minnesota. Daws, a Minnesota running icon from the 60s and 70s, trained over this same course. Renamed in his memory in 1993, the race takes place over hilly terrain to the south and west of Hopkins.
Started in 1979, this race has now entered its fourth decade and remains a tough challenge for those training for the Boston Marathon or other spring marathons, as well as a solid workout for everyone.
