The Righteous Richland Sprint Triathlon
The race starts with a brisk 1/2 mile swim in the Columbia River along the length of Howard Amon Park. From the park, participants will bike (MOUNTAIN BIKES ONLY) a total of 12 miles via roads and bike paths to the Chamna Nature Preserve, featuring off-road and single-track riding. Mountain bikes are mandatory. A special GRAVEL BIKE DIVISION is available. The 3 mile run follows foot paths heading south from the park, finishing back in the park.

- Athlete Limit: 300 individuals and 25 teams
- Timing: Chip timing will be used for split and finish times.
Registration & Fees
- Race Fee: $45 by June 29th at 11:59 pm; $60 after that date. A $3 discount is available for 3RRR members registered by June 29th.
- USAT License: A One Day License must be purchased if not a current USAT member.
- Registration Deadline: Online registration ends July 7th, or earlier if the participant limit is reached. No race day registration.
- No Refunds: Entries are non-transferable and non-refundable.
- Clothing Option: Sleeveless t-shirt available for an additional $18 if pre-registered by June 29th.
Team Competition
Three-person teams are invited to compete in open, coed, and women's categories. Please select your category carefully during registration.
Schedule
- Day Before Race: Packet pickup between 4:30 PM and 6:30 PM at Ice Harbor Brewing Company, 10 East Bruneau, Kennewick, WA 99336.
- Race Day: Packet/timing chip pickup starts at 6:30 AM. Mandatory pre-race meeting at 8:00 AM. Race start at 8:30 AM. Course closes at 11:00 AM.
Awards & SWAG
- All finishers will receive a finisher medal.
- Awards for top 3 overall men/women and age group winners will be available after the race at the picnic shelter. Awards are race glasses and will NOT be mailed.
Special Considerations
- Bike Requirements: Mountain bikes only (26-29 inch wheels, tires with minimum 1.5 inch width and knobby tread covering >50% of the surface). Slick tire surface must be less than 50%.
- Gravel Bike Division: Special division with awards for top 3 overall men and women. Gravel bikes will not be included in overall or age group awards.
