Rennsteig-Staffellauf
Welcome to the Rennsteig-Staffellauf! Germany's largest relay race on Europe's most famous long-distance hiking trail, the Rennsteig, is a top-class challenge for all participants. It's not just about running performance, but also about team spirit. Here, on the high trail of the Thuringian Forest, teams of ten runners each start on fixed stages and changeovers over approximately 140 kilometers, with the start and finish in Schmiedefeld.
Since the first starting signal in 1999, this race has enjoyed growing popularity and even has to be limited due to special circumstances and high demand.
