Rattlesnake Racing 16 Hr Rock, Roll and Rattlesnake Challenge Adventure Race
This 16-hour adventure race takes place on a private ranch in Haskell, TX. Disciplines include paddling, trail running, trekking, and mountain biking, with possible team challenges. The RRRC requires navigation skills and the ability to plot UTM coordinates. The private ranch offers a harsh West Texas setting, making the course challenging for experienced racers, but it's also designed to be beginner-friendly. You can customize the course difficulty and duration, racing for the full 16 hours or a shorter period to collect as many checkpoints as possible. Rankings are based on the number of checkpoints and time. The race site is primitive, with no running water or electricity. Primitive camping is provided free of charge. A pre-race and post-race meal are included.
The 8-hour RRRC is designed as a great entry-level race for beginners or new teams, while still offering a challenge for experienced teams. It will feature topo maps and navigation support, allowing participants to learn and test their pace count and navigation skills.
