Race for Life Pretty Muddy Lincoln
Lincoln Pretty Muddy is a 5k obstacle course event organised by Cancer Research UK at the Lincolnshire Showground in Grange de Lings, Lincoln. The course is contained within the showground, is fairly flat and runs mainly on grass with some paths. The start and finish share the same section of grass and are a short walk from the on-site car park and clearly visible from there.
Participants climb, crawl and slide around a sequence of obstacles. Wave start times are staggered, with each wave beginning 15 minutes after the previous one; groups are asked to register for the same wave. To take part participants must be at least 13 years old.
On-site facilities include refreshments, toilets and parking. The event is not accessible on foot; there are no nearby bus routes, train stations or bike racks. There is no designated drop off zone, no electric charging points and no showers. The site may become soft and muddy in bad weather; blue badge parking is available within the on-site car park and stewards will direct drivers to the nearest space. Dogs are not allowed and the event is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchair users.
Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support and a Race for Life medal on completion. Sunflower wristbands, BSL stage content via QR code and dementia aware staff are provided on site.
