Race for Life Oxford 10k
The event takes place on Sunday 28 June 2026 at University Parks, Parks Road, Oxford OX1 3RF. It is organised by Cancer Research UK and has a minimum fundraising target of £50. Entry prices listed include £17.49 for adults and £11.00 for children; the event is for people aged 16 and over.

The start and finish area are on grass near the cricket pavilion. The course runs predominantly on park pathways and closed road sections and is described as entirely flat. The 10k route consists of two laps of the same course. The event is chip-timed.
Access notes:
There is no dedicated event parking; city centre car parks and Park and Ride services are suggested alternatives. Road closures around the event will limit access and drop-off options. Blue Badge parking is available in limited numbers via South Parks Road. The nearest train station is Oxford, approximately a 22 minute walk to the park. Cycle racks are available in the city and around the park.
On-site facilities include refreshments, toilets, and enquiries. The site allows dogs, is suitable for pushchairs, and is wheelchair accessible. Bag drop, showers, and event parking are not available. Participants are provided with a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training resources, and a finishers medal. Life is worth Racing for. Enter Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life and raise money for life-saving cancer research.
Race for Life 10k is a more challenging event, but without any pressure. Take it at your own pace and enjoy the atmosphere, or push yourself a little more. The events are chip-timed, so you can find out if you’ve beaten your personal best! Sign up as a group with friends and family, or go solo and join hundreds of people on the day. However you take part, you’re helping to beat cancer.
Course Information:
The start and finish area are on grass. The course is predominantly on pathways or road. The course is entirely flat and begins in the scenic University Park, where you will head out onto the historic streets of Oxford. The 10k route is a double lap of the course.
Travel Information:
By car: General Event Parking: There is no event parking for the event. Please use city centre car parks. We recommend utilising the Park and Ride network for the most convenient way to access the event; the service 300 passes close to University Parks, but you can also use the 400 service and walk in from the High Street. Drop Offs: Road closures start at 9.00am for this event so access and drop-off locations are limited. Blue Badge Parking: Limited Blue Badge parking is available at the park using South Parks Road. Please follow the signage and stewards directions. Volunteer Parking: Limited volunteer parking is available at the park using South Parks Road on a first come first served basis. Electric Charging points: There are none available at this event. There are some locations around the City.
Public transport and pedestrians: Pedestrians: There are multiple access gates into the park along Parks Road or via the gate at the junction of South Parks road and St Cross road. Bus: There are various bus routes around the City. Train: The nearest train station is Oxford, which is a 22 minute walk to the park. Cycling & Bike Racks: There are a number of cycle racks in the city centre and around the park.

Accessibility:
The start and finish areas are both on the same grass area, located near the cricket pavilion building in the centre of the park. This course is entirely on internal park paths and closed road. We aim for maximum accessibility at our events. Our contact centre and on-site team are ready to assist with any needs or questions you may have. Sunflower wristbands are available at the enquiries marquee, and our Event Managers are trained Dementia Friends. A QR code will be available on the main event site to access British Sign Language stage content for those who use BSL.
