Race for Life Huddersfield 5k
Huddersfield Race for Life takes place in Greenhead Park on Sunday 21 June 2026. This 5k event is organized by Cancer Research UK and offers a great first challenge for participants of all ages and fitness levels. You can run solo, or sign up with friends and family. There is no pressure to finish in a specific time; walk, jog, or run at your own pace and enjoy the atmosphere while supporting life-saving cancer research.
Course Information
The course is a double lap, starting and finishing on grass near the Greenhead Railway and the park café. It runs on a mix of grass and paths, with options to bypass grass sections. The route is mostly flat with small downhill and uphill sections, featuring hardstanding paths, rolling undulations, and short grass sections with twists and turns through the park.

Travel Information
Public Transport: Various buses run from Huddersfield Bus Station to Greenhead Park (approx. 3 minutes). Huddersfield Westgate train station is opposite Huddersfield Bus Station.
Parking: No designated event parking. Parking is available around the park perimeter (mainly free, some restrictions apply). Blue Badge parking is available near park entrances. Bike racks are available by the bowling greens and tennis courts.
