Youlgrave Fell Race: The Pommie Panter
The Pommie Panter is a fell race in Youlgrave, Peak District, scheduled for Sunday 16 May 2027. The course is about 5.8 miles (9.3 km) with approximately 876 ft (267 m) of climb. The route uses public paths and combines rough trails, open fields, short sections of country lane, some low level technical stretches and a swamp. Limestone descents can be slippery and grazing cattle may be present.
The race is run under Fell Running Association rules and licence. The organisers describe the course as partially marked and marshalled; some navigation or local knowledge is useful and a pre-race recce is recommended. Entrant numbers are limited to 175. The stated entry fee is £6 for pre-entry and £6 for entry on the day, with a request for correct change. Profits are donated to Youlgrave Parish Council for village facilities.

- Registration (number collection): 9:00 to 10:40 at Alport Lane Playing Fields.
- Toilets: Available at Alport Lane Playing Fields, opposite the village hall, and at Coldwell End car-park.
Important Note: If you withdraw part way through, please inform a marshal or check in at the finish.
The terrain is rough trails, open fields and a little bit of country lane with small sections of low level technical parts and a swamp. Be prepared for long climbs, slippery limestone descents, and the possibility of encountering cows.
