45th Annual Pitman Freedom Four Mile Road Race
WHEN: 8:45 AM - Saturday, JULY 4, 2026 * Rain or Shine
An Independence Day run through one of South Jersey's most picturesque towns!
Online registration price will increase after 7pm on Thursday, July 2, 2026. We will have no paper registration on race day; everyone must signup online.
Cost:
$30.00 before 7pm on July 2, 2026.
$35.00 after 7pm on July 2, thru July 3, 2026.
Race day price will be $40.00
Virtual Run: $12.50 with a shirt & $8.50 without a shirt.
WHERE: Start and Finish near Broadway Theatre, Broadway, Pitman NJ
COURSE: A challenging, accurately measured 4-mile course through the town. Our race is accurately timed using chip timing with jbsportstiming.com.
VIRTUAL RUN DETAILS: Complete by Saturday, July 4, 2026. If you'd like to submit a finish time, it can be completed through RunSignUp. There are no awards for virtual runners.
PACKET PICKUP INFO:
Friday, July 3, 2026 at Borough Hall, 110 South Broadway from 4pm - 7pm.
Race Day Bib Pickup Times: 7:00am to 8:15am
T-SHIRTS: Each runner will receive a race performance shirt.
PRIZES:
$100 - To the 1st Male & Female finisher.
Prizes to the top 3 finishers in the following age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 plus. All age group awards will be mailed. The only awards given out on race day are for the top overall winners.

In Pitman, NJ, the 4th of July celebrations typically includes a parade, a fireworks display at Alcyon Lake, and the Pitman Freedom Four Miler Run. The Freedom Four Miler Run begins at 8:45 AM. The parade starts at 9:55 AM on July 4th. Road Closures Information: Broadway will be closed from approximately 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM for the run and parade.
