Peter's Run 5K Race & The Bryant Mile
Hosted by the Rose of Sharon Laymen's League in Bear Grass, NC.
The 5K race is designed for competitive runners, with awards for top finishers in various age and gender categories. The Bryant Mile is a non-timed walk in memory of Pastor Bryant Hines, with a fun stop for donuts at the halfway point.
This event is a fundraiser for Project Empty Tomb, supporting the Bear Grass Charter School's Food Pantry and the Rodgers Elementary Book Bag Program. The goal is also to draw attention to the empty tomb of Jesus.
Race Day Schedule:
- Registration - 7:00 AM
- Opening Devotion - 8:00 AM
- Peter's Run 5K Race - 8:15 AM
- The Bryant Mile - 8:15 AM (Not Timed/No Awards)
- Awards - 9:15 AM
Food at the finish line: Sausage Dogs and Donuts!
Inclement Weather Policy: In case of cancellation due to weather, there will be no refunds.
Registration Fees/Dates/Categories:
- 5K: $20 + registration fee through 9/07/2025; $25 + registration fee on/after 9/08/2025
- The Bryant Mile: $20 + registration fee
Awards/Categories:
Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female 5K finishers overall and in the following age categories: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.
