Paces for PAWS is a dog friendly event so please bring your best canine companions to participate in the festivities (don't forget leashes, please)! With this event, we hope to provide an opportunity for people of all ages in our community to help homeless and abandoned animals receive the medical care, shelter, and companionship they need until their forever homes are found. This event is one of four events in the RunBelfast 2024 race series held in Belfast, Maine. The series includes: Paces for PAWS 5K, Rotary Bug Run 5K, Center for Wildlife Studies Run Wild! 5K/10K, and Lions Ghostly Gallop. RunBelfast is grateful for the support provided by City of Belfast Parks and Recreation Department. SERIES REGISTRATION SPECIAL NOTE: There will be a special sign-up sheet available during pre-registration for the Paces for PAWS 5K for individuals who plan to run all four RunBelfast events. By completing the sheet entries and paying a fee of $80, an individual will be registered for all four runs and be eligible for any run related goodies.

When: June 3, 2023 Where: Rail Trail, Train Depot terminus (13 Oak Hill Rd, Belfast, ME 04915) Registration: 0800 am Start times for both run/walk and walk: 0830 am Parking lot is available. If you bring your dog, it must be on a 6-foot non-retractable leash; also you must have proof of rabies vaccination and town registration. Poop bags and water are also a must bring.
