Why The WingMan 10k?
The race honors Joshua Shepherd, a military hero and friend of the race director, Eddie Weaver. It aims to promote values of friendship, goal-chasing, and mutual support.
Race Concept
The WingMan 10K emphasizes teamwork and meeting fellow runners. Runners are randomly assigned to one of six teams, and walkers to one of two teams. Non-competitive teams are available for those who prefer not to focus on competition.
A staggered start system based on age and sex is used to help even out teams.

Awards will be given to the first 25 overall runners, the first color team of runners, and the first color team of walkers.
