Olympic Mountains Trail Races - August 15 - 16, 2026
Mark your calendars for the weekend of August 15 &16, 2026. Registration opens January 23rd with deeply discounted pricing for the first two weeks. Discounts are available for Tribal members and Active Duty and Veteran Military. For 2026, a Ruck Division is available for the 50K and a 10K race has been added.
Event Distances and Details:
- OM 100K: A challenging course with over 14,200' of elevation gain on ~80% single-track trail. Features ten aid stations and few repeat sections.
- OM 50K & 50K Ruck: A tough course with 8,600' of climbing and 74% single-track running. High point offers huge views across the eastern slope of the Olympic range. All 50K racers have a 14-hour cut-off.
- OM 25K & 25K Ruck: Features almost 4,000' of elevation gain (and loss), including a tough climb to the summit of Mt Zion. Ruckers must wear a pack or weight vest of 20-30lbs. 25K Racers have 6 hours to finish; Ruckers have 7 hours.
- NEW! 10K: Just over 10K at 6.56 miles with 1,117' of climbing. The course is 52% single-track and 48% Fire road.
Registration and Pricing:
Registration opens January 23rd, 2026. Prices vary by distance and registration period. Early bird pricing is available until February 8th.
Discounts and Policies:
- Discounts for Tribal members and military (active duty and veterans).
- 20% off for registering for a Sunday race if you race on Saturday (using codes DoTheDouble20 or RDouble20).
- No refunds, but one-time credits towards 2027 races are available based on withdrawal date.
- Pregnancy deferral and military deployment deferral/refund options are available.
2026 Race Weekend Schedule:
- Saturday, August 15th: 100K (Starts 5am), 50K & 50K Ruck (Starts 9am)
- Sunday, August 16th: 25K Ruck (Starts 7am), 25K Trail Race (Starts 8am), 10K (Starts 9am)
Location and Travel:
Race HQ is in a retired quarry deep in the Olympic National Forest, near Quilcene, WA. Directions involve Forest Service roads; navigation apps are not reliable. Print or screenshot directions in advance. AWD/4WD is not required but low clearance vehicles are not recommended due to potholes.
