Part of the Mount to Coast End to End Challenge Series. Take on this single day challenge from Penrith to Lancaster. All of the route follows the same route as our JOGLE race, but with lesser daily distances. The MTC Spring Heeled Jack is also Day 2 of the end to end challenge of England – ALBION.

What is the Mount to Coast End to End Challenge?
The MTC End to End Challenge consists of 6 epic End to End challenges. Challenge 4 (Take place once every 4 years, commencing 2028, then returning 2032) is the MTC Albion - a thirteen day end to end of England, covering 503 miles, averaging just over 38 miles per day. These thirteen days form the Myths & Legends of England Series. Day 2 of this series is the MTC Spring Heeled Jack.
Safety, Navigation and Cut Offs
The organisers provide tracking devices with real time tracking and an SOS function. Maps and GPX files are supplied to entrants only and are emailed approximately four weeks before the event. The race is cup free so entrants must bring a reusable cup. The event enforces a minimum average speed of 4 mph; competitors falling below this requirement may be withdrawn. Organisers may remove any competitor they consider unfit to continue.
Entry, Kit and Rules
Entry fees are non refundable. Entrants must be at least 20 years old on race day. Competitors must carry mandatory kit including a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, provided route maps, compass or GPS device, whistle, mobile phone, basic first aid and an emergency food pack. Participants are responsible for their own fitness, equipment and adherence to the route and race rules. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
