Mince Pi Run - races of 2 decimal places
Mince Pi Run is a lap-based running event at Shalford Park, Guildford GU48AA on 13 December 2026. Distances are set around the value of Pi and include multiple options for adults and children. Entry is limited to 200 places and the event status is open.
Available race options include:
- 3.14 miles up to 31.4 miles (1 to 10 laps)
- Pi marathon option
- 1 mile fun run shaped as the Pi symbol for younger children
Junior participation rules are specified by age: 8 to 11 years may run one lap, 12 to 14 years up to two laps, and 15 year olds up to four laps. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Children aged 12 to 15 must have an adult at the start and finish or may be accompanied.
Most of the course is off road and runs along the water's edge. Some sections have eroded paths and require extra care. Alternative courses may be used if conditions dictate. Race numbers are collected on race morning and competitors must wear their number on the front so laps and times can be recorded. Results will be published online as soon as possible after the event, with an aim to post within 24 hours.
Prices are tiered by date: until 31 March 2026 the fee is £20.36, and until 10 December 2026 the fee is £23.50. Various public car parks are within walking distance; the local Millbrook car park GU1 3XL is about half a mile from race headquarters. Organiser's Description
Mince Pi Run - races of 2 decimal places. Sunday 13th December 2026. Run 3.14 to 31.4 miles (1 to 10 laps of a scenic mostly flat offroad course with one or two hills to keep you on your toes), the Pi marathon option or a 1 mile fun run for younger kids in the shape of the Pi symbol. Bespoke Pi Pie medals for all competitors, so tasty we named them twice.
Juniors participation on 3.14 mile loop: maximum distances 8-11yrs 1 lap, 12-14yrs 2 laps, 15yrs 4 laps. Under 12's must be accompanied by an adult at all times. 12-15 year old children must have an adult at the start/ finish or, of course, are welcome to be accompanied.
The venue: Shalford Park, Guildford, GU48AA. Alternative courses are available if conditions dictate a change.
Car-parking: Various car parks are within walking distance, the car park at Shalford Park is reserved for football players who hold a block booking. Millbrook car park (GU1 3XL) is half a mile from race HQ.
Registration and race briefing: Collect your race number on race morning from 08:00. Race briefing at 08:50 start is 09:00 The Mini Mince Pi Run may start shortly before or after the races of 2 decimal places, this will be confirmed closer to the time.
Please ensure your race number is on your front so that we can record your laps and times.
Important note: the majority of the course is off road and along the waters edge, there are one or two points where the path is a little erroded and extra care should be taken. Please don't fall in the water, if you fancy a dip we will be organising events which involve swimming.
Results will be available online as soon as possible after the event. We will always aim to have results published within 24 hours.
