Milnathort Dash 2026
Organised by Kinross Road Runners, The Milnathort Dash is an annual short distance race that covers just over 5 miles. The course is mostly on road, with a small section on farm track, beginning with a notable hill and having a largely downhill second half.
The event is open to all runners aged 16 or over on the day of the race. The race is run under UK Athletics Rules and is a Scottish Athletics permit event.
Entries
The race limit is 200 places. Entries can be transferred to another person via Entry Central until entries close on 1st June. No refunds or deferrals are available.
Registration
Registration opens at 6:30pm and closes at 7:15pm at Orwell church hall, Milnathort. ID may be required to collect race numbers.
Start
The race starts at 7:30pm at the bottom of Wester Loan, Milnathort, adjacent to the Town Hall.
Health and Safety
Headphones or similar devices are not allowed unless medically prescribed; bone conductor devices are permitted. All runners must write emergency contact details on the back of their number and display their number on the front of their shirt. The route is waymarked and supported by volunteer marshals.
Prizes
Prizes are awarded for overall placings and for the first male and female to reach the top of the first hill (King and Queen of the hill). Full results will be available online.
Charity Donations
There is an option to make a voluntary donation to Kinross Community First Responders during entry.
Facilities
Limited toilet facilities are available pre-race. There are no changing rooms at registration. Runners are encouraged to come race-ready. Public road parking is available but limited.
