Leeds & Liverpool Canal 130 Mile Race (LLCR) 2026
This non-stop 130-mile race is held under UK Athletics rules and with the kind permission of the Canal & River Trust. The route follows the Leeds & Liverpool Canal towpath, starting at Old Hall Street in Liverpool and finishing at Office Lock in Leeds.
Runners must be 20 or over on race day. While it’s recommended to have your own support crew, the organisers — Canalrace C.I.C. — can accommodate up to 75 Unsupported runners. The event is limited to 100 runners on a first come, first served basis.
The race offers support stops every 10–15 miles with snacks and drinks, and transport is available if you need to retire early. There is a 40-hour overall time limit.

- Medical: No medical or first aid provided, but transport is available for Unsupported runners who retire.
- Rules: Must be completed on foot, keep to the towpath route, display race numbers, carry required kit (mobile phone, whistle, survival blanket, torch/headlamp at night), follow event rules.
- Awards: Perpetual trophy for 1st Man and 1st Woman, Canalware trophy for 1st Man and 1st Woman, Certificate & memento for every finisher.
