Lance's Legacy 5k and Fun Run

In January of 2026, the running community in Dalton, Georgia, and Charlotte, North Carolina lost a person with a passion for running, Lance Sotelo. He was tragically hit and killed while on a run. His family has decided to continue his legacy of perseverance, acceptance, and love through a non-profit called Lance's Legacy. At Lance's Legacy, we want to offer scholarships to high school and collegiate runners who exhibit the same perseverance, acceptance, and love that Lance exhibited. We will be hosting the first annual Lance's Legacy 5K and Fun Run on Lance's birthday.
