Lake District Duathlons - Grasmere
Our popular Lake District Duathlons return in March 2027, taking place on Sunday 21st March!
Run around Grasmere Village and Water on paths and trails, then cycle through the scenic roads towards Elterwater on the Sprint (Short) or Hawkshead & Coniston on the Standard. With one of the most beautiful transition locations, this is an event you’ll want to book year after year.

Sprint (Short) Duathlon
Run – 5km | Cycle – 20km | Run – 2.5km
Standard Duathlon
Run – 10km | Cycle – 40km | Run – 5km

About Grasmere
Set alongside Grasmere Lake, the village is surrounded by a panorama of fells and mountains. Grasmere is best known as the home of William Wordsworth, described as "The most loveliest spot that man hath found."

Sprint Duathlon routes and Standard Duathlon routes are free to view and download.
Transition Area
- Secure transition area for competitors only
- Race Number & Bike Number correspond to your racking spot
- Small bags/boxes permitted inside transition
- Bike number must be attached and helmet visible before entering
- Bib and bike numbers will be checked before exiting transition

Sprint (Short) Duathlon – 9:15am
Standard Duathlon – 9:00am
Timing
Live Chip Timing will be provided by Timing Up North.

Parking
There is limited parking on site for £4 and we will accommodate some competitors however some will need to pay for public parking nearby.
