Lake County Suicide Prevention Task Force 12th Annual 5K Walk/Run for Awareness and Suicide Prevention
The Lake County Suicide Prevention Task Force 12th Annual 5K Walk/Run for Awareness and Suicide Prevention will be an in-person walk at the College of Lake County (Grayslake Campus) on Saturday, September 7th, 2024. We are excited to be back in person! You can also choose to walk independently wherever you feel comfortable, whether that is in your local downtown, forest preserve, neighborhood, or even on your treadmill!
Registration starts at 9:00 AM in person at the College of Lake County. The Welcome & kickoff will start at 10:00 AM. We will also be hosting the kickoff on Facebook Live for those who cannot join in person. Feel free to share any videos and photos of the event, so we can also share with our Lake County community knowing that, We Are All In This Together!
Registration and Resource Fair
This registration fee includes an event t-shirt and resource fair bag, with local resources from throughout Lake County. If you are unable to walk or would like to donate to the event, you can do so by clicking donations tab above, or as part of your registration.
- $30 for adults
- $10 for children 5 to 12 years old
- Free --kids 4 and under
- Teams of 5 people or more ($25 each)
First person creates the team and team name and invite others to join it. The first 4 people will pay the regular fee of $30. The fifth and subsequent registrations in the team will drop the fee to $25, giving the first four individuals a $5 refund.
T-shirt and Resource Bag Pick-up
We will be hosting a drive-thru event so you can pick up your walk t-shirts and resource bags in advance. T-shirts will also be available for pickup on the day of the Walk/Run event, Sept. 7. Future emails will be sent out to registrants with more information.
