"The sun shone brightly today – and you shone back, with joy, energy, and real Kuckuckslauf spirit."
Dear runners, this year's 15th Kemmerner Kuckuckslauf was again a real highlight in the town center. Despite summer temperatures, you impressed with fighting spirit, passion, and a lot of good cheer – from the hobby and company run to the 10-kilometer main race.
Especially our young talents – from toddlers to teenagers – showed how much joy, power, and ease one can run with. You amazed the audience and were a real highlight of the day.
A huge thank you goes to our spectators, cheerleaders, and bands, who made the course vibrate with their atmosphere. And a very special thanks to our many helpers – without you, this day would not have been possible. You are the heart of the Kuckuckslauf!
In the Brauerei Wagner Hobby- und Firmenlauf over four kilometers, Johannes Kramer showed the best performance, being the fastest man with a very strong 14:52 minutes, while Margrit Elfers was the fastest woman in 15:36 minutes. We are particularly proud that Margrit was the fastest woman from our own ranks – a strong performance that worthily represents our colors.
In the youth category at the Sport Wagner U14/U16 race, Fabian Franz from TSV Mönchröden won among the U14/U16 boys in an absolutely impressive 14:53 minutes, and Marlena Konheiser from LG Forchheim took first place among the girls in 16:02 minutes. Here too, our young talents have once again shown how much power, joy, and perseverance they have – a true inspiration for all spectators and fellow runners!
The highlight of the day was traditionally the BMW Sperber 10-kilometer main race. Among the men, Dominic Arnold from SC Kemmern secured first place after a sovereign race in a sensational 33:57 minutes, followed by Luis Bonfig (TSV Iphofen) in 34:14 minutes and Christian Kunisch (TV Ochsenfurt) in 34:25 minutes. Among the women, Hannah Kadner secured the winner's trophy with a start-to-finish victory in a fantastic 38:13 minutes, closely followed by Anna Schneiderbanger (IFA Nonstop Bamberg) in second place with 38:25 minutes. Elina Gradl, our flag bearer in Germany W45, completed the podium as third place in 38:41 minutes. With this result in the main race, SC Kemmern achieved a green double victory for the first time – Dominic Arnold and Hannah Kadner each secured first place in the men's and women's categories – a historic moment in Kuckuckslauf history!
We would also like to express our sincere thanks to our sponsors, who actively support the race and make it unique every time.
We are already looking forward to welcoming you to the 10th Maintal-Crosslauf and experiencing a great cross-country race with you in cooler temperatures.
Until then, we wish you a successful and injury-free time. Stay healthy.
