Jurassic Coast 100 and Jurassic Extinction
The Jurassic Coast events follow the South West Coast Path along the Jurassic Coast World Heritage site from Old Harry Rocks near Studland to Orcombe Point at Exmouth. Multiple distances run along coastal sections between Poole, Weymouth, Lyme Regis, Beer and Exmouth. Navigation is self guided using the coastal path and live GPS tracking is provided on all distances.
The event offers a mix of ultra distances and a shorter challenge. Time limits and minimum pace requirements apply to each distance. Several distances carry ITRA points and UTMB index status at specified distances. Aid stations are provided along the routes. Finishers receive commemorative items specific to each distance and a special buckle for the 105 mile finishers.
Two recce days are planned to help participants familiarise themselves with night sections used in the longest races. Each recce is roughly 20 miles and includes transport and support and is open to anyone.
Distances offered:
- 105 miles Poole to Exmouth, height gain 5100 m
- 100 km Weymouth to Exmouth, height gain 2900 m
- 70 km Poole to Nothe Fort Weymouth, height gain 2200 m
