Jistebnický VH půlmaratón
The 17th annual Jistebnický VH půlmaratón will take place on May 22, 2027, in Jistebník. This event, which has been running for years, offers a variety of race distances from 3.6 km up to a full marathon (42.195 km). The races are held in the scenic nature near the Poodří Protected Landscape Area, offering great views of the Beskydy mountains. The start and finish line for all races are located at the football and multisport complex in Jistebník.
The event also includes a children's olympiad with accompanying programs, emphasizing a family-friendly atmosphere where children cheer for their parents in the morning, and parents cheer for their children in the afternoon.
Race History and Distances
Originally founded by water management professionals, the Jistebnický VH půlmaratón started with just a half-marathon distance. Over time, the routes have expanded to include:
- Marathon (42.195 km)
- Half Marathon (21 km)
- 11 kilometers
- 3.6 kilometers
Special Offers and Information
- Participants under 19 years old who register by May 17, 2024, receive a unified starting fee of 100 CZK (200 CZK on-site).
- Donors of blood and plasma receive a 50% discount on the starting fee upon presentation of proof of donation.
- The event is also part of the Children's Sports Olympiad for children aged 5-15.
