Ipswich Twilight 10K, Family Wave and Daily Mile 2026
The Ipswich Twilight 10k event is one the region’s biggest and best-supported 10k races, attracting runners of all ages and abilities. We are delighted to announce Ipswich Town Foundation* as our new charity partner for 2026! By supporting this charity, every step our runners take will help to open doors for young people and vulnerable adults to access a variety of development programmes - boosting confidence, wellbeing and community spirit.
For 2026, the event will once again start and finish among the appropriately sporty surroundings of Portman Road, home to Ipswich Town Football Club. The race follows a winding route from the stadium through Ipswich’s main shopping area and around its historic centre, passing landmarks such as the Corn Exchange and Town Hall on the way. A much-anticipated summer event, the Ipswich Twilight 10k is always warmly supported by spectators, who turn out in their hundreds to cheer on competitors as they weave their way through the town.
There are two other supporting events on the racing schedule – the Suffolk Schools mass participation Daily Mile and the Family Wave. These shorter races are designed to appeal to younger runners and to family groups.
Ipswich Town Foundation is the charitable arm of Ipswich Town Football Club. Since relaunching in 2019, the Foundation has been providing impactful and inclusive activities to improve the health, skills, opportunities, and lives of all generations in communities across Suffolk. They deliver an innovative and inclusive range of programmes, activities and initiatives to address the needs of the community, reaching over 9,000 young people and vulnerable adults across around 30 diverse programmes delivered on a weekly basis.
By using the presence, power, and reach of Ipswich Town Football Club, the Foundation aims to build an empowered, inspired, and inclusive community to be proud of. This vision is delivered across four key pillars: Community Participation & Inclusion, Health & Wellbeing, Sport & Physical Activity, Education & Employability.
