Hathersage Gala Fell Race - Monday 6 July 2026
The Hathersage Gala Fell Race is a Peak District fell race held in Hathersage, England. The course covers 7.2 km (4.5 miles) with approximately 325 m of climb and starts from the school field at St. Michael's C of E Primary School, School Lane, Hathersage, Derbyshire. The event is held under a permit with associated UK Athletics insurance from the FRA. The minimum age for entry is 16. Team entries are not accepted and there are no junior races.
Entry is available both by pre-entry and on the day, with both pre-entry and entry-on-the-day fees set at £10. Online entry is preferred and closes on 5 July; entry on the day may be possible if spaces remain. Allow 30 to 60 minutes to collect race numbers. Parking is limited so car sharing is recommended and competitors should use the main village car park. No dogs are allowed on the school grounds or on the course, per the landowner request.
