Hardwick 10k - 40th Edition
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Hardwick 10k! The race features an exciting out-and-back course with a significant climb up to the magnificent Hardwick Hall. Marshals will be present at the 5k turnaround point. The route includes a steep downhill run to the Hardwick Inn, followed by a climb up Tibshelf Road, and a final 1 km downhill into Pilsley village.
Charity: Part of the entry fee is donated to Edale Mountain Rescue. You can also sponsor them directly via the race website.
Race Details
- Race Time: 19:30
- Online Entry Fees: £20 for UKA/ARC affiliated club runners; £22 for unaffiliated runners.
- Closing Date for Entries: 30th June 2026. No entries will be taken on the day.
- Registration: From 18:00 at the Elm Centre, adjacent to Pilsley Primary School. Race numbers are allocated by email a few days prior and collected at registration.
- Chip Timing: In operation; all competitors receive an ID tag at registration.
- Parking: Ample parking is available (details on the race website).
- Facilities: Toilets and showers at the Elm Centre & St Mary's Church Hall. Changing facilities available.
- Refreshments: Water at start/finish and along the route. Additional refreshments for spectators.
- Prizes: Age categories, team prizes (men: fastest 4, women: fastest 3). £100 for the 1st male and female runner to break the course records (Samuel Moakes 31:33; Hayley Gill 38:19). First male/female Pilsley resident to finish.
- Finisher's Gift: Every finisher receives a unique 40th-anniversary commemorative t-shirt.
- Additional: Chance to win £150 pair of running shoes with expert fitting from Run Forest by bringing £1.
