Hardmoors 26.2 Farndale Trail Races
Hardmoors 26.2 Farndale takes place on Sunday 9th August 2026 at Hutton Le Hole Village Hall, Hutton Le Hole, YO62 6UA. The event offers three untaped trail courses; competitors must navigate using supplied route descriptions and maps.
Distances and limits:
- Trail Marathon: 29 miles, 4200 ft ascent, 9 hour limit
- Half Marathon: 16.5 miles, 2300 ft ascent, 6 hour limit
- Trail 10k: 8.3 miles, 1130 ft ascent, 4 hour limit
Parking is available for £4 for the day, with alternative parking at a North York Moors Authority car park for £5.50. Camper van, motorhome, and caravan parking is available for £15 per night, with limited facilities. All rubbish must be taken home.
Maps, route descriptions, and GPX files are provided for download. Competitors are required to print and carry their own maps and route descriptions as courses are not generally marked. Mandatory kit must be carried for the full and half routes. The 10k has a reduced mandatory kit list. Failure to carry mandatory kit will result in disqualification.
Entry fees include contributions to the Cleveland Way National Trail. Prices vary by distance and UKA attachment status, with a race t-shirt available for an additional fee. The event is cupless, so runners should bring their own cup. No dogs are allowed on the course. The organizer does not offer refunds or deferrals; transfers and other changes are subject to the event rules and entry deadlines.
