G.S. Running Club Events
G.S. Running Club is an umbrella organization that organizes several individual programs for youth. All athletes must be members of the Running Club. If you are not a member, you will be required to join as part of the signup process.
G.S. Running Club (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
An inclusive developmental running program for youth generally aged between 4-10. Uses a play-based philosophy to engage children in running and overall fitness, focusing on correct running biomechanics, breathing techniques, strength, balance, and coordination. Also develops sportsmanship, compassion, and teamwork. Training occurs two times per week.
G.S. Elite (Mondays and Wednesdays)
An inclusive junior running program evolved from G.S. Running Club, generally for youth aged 8-18. This program is for athletes looking to pursue competitive track events (100 meters-1500 meters) both locally and overseas. Uses a periodization model with a variety of training variables to ensure optimal fitness at competition time.
G.S. Prep (Saturdays)
A multi-sport strength and conditioning (six-week) training program for youth 8-18 years. Enhances performance by increasing strength, power, speed, agility, and flexibility. Beneficial for athletes wanting to participate in local and/or overseas competitive sports including football, cross country, track, tennis, swimming, cycling, etc.
Coaches
George Smith (Uncle George): Co-founder, advocate for health and fitness in children. Mentored youth and ensured they developed fundamental athletic skills.
Chayce Smith (Coach Chayce): Co-founder, physical education teacher, top local runner with records locally and abroad. Experienced triathlete and coach for Special Olympics Team Bermuda.
Tanika: Admin Support and Assistant Coach, pediatric occupational therapist specializing in child development and inclusion in sports.
Joining After Term Has Started: Registration closes at the start of term, but places may be accommodated. Contact us for appropriate registration links and discount pricing.
