Green Lake Road Race
The Green Lake Road Race is a 12 mile run that can be completed individually, as a 2-person relay or as a 4-person relay. Only the 12 mile run with be scored in the series.
Race Details
Location: 159 Lake Ave S Spicer, MN
Start of Race: Between Mel’s Sport Shop and the fishing access.
Packet Pick Up: Zorbaz parking lot - look for tent
Race Day Schedule
- 6:00 AM: Packet Pick Up - Zorbaz parking lot, look for the tent
- 7:00 AM: Race Starts - arrive to the start line 10 minutes before the start of the race for a pre-race meeting
- 7:05 AM: The relay bus takes off to drop off relay participants
- 9:15 AM: Estimated start time for awards, behind Zorbaz on the deck
Course Information
Individual: 12 Miles
2-Person Relay: 6 Miles (exchange at 6 mile mark)
4-Person Relay: 3 Miles (exchange locations at 3.25 mile, 6 mile mark, 9 mile mark)
Water and Aid Stations
Water stop locations: 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 mile marks. Gatorade available upon request. Restrooms and water available at each exchange point.
Relay Information
Bus service will be available for the relays. The first bus stop will be located in the Spicer Legion parking lot. The bus will leave at 7:05 am, just after the race starts. The bus will make laps around the lake dropping off runners at their starting point and returning runners to the finish.
Race Entry Includes
- Race shirt (guaranteed if registered by June 22nd)
- Refreshments after the race
Runner's Shirts
Runners pre-registered by June 22nd will be guaranteed their shirt size. After June 23rd race shirts are on a first-come, first-served basis until sold out.
Divisions and Awards
Medals for the top female and top male. Medals for places 1-3 in each division (Men: 10 and under to 85+; Women: 10 and under to 85+). Family division (Average time for 2 runners of the same family: Husband-Wife, Parent-Child, Brothers and/or Sisters). Relay Teams: 2-person, 4-person (no breakdown by gender or age).
