The Gläserner Mönch Lauf will take place in Langenstein on Sunday, July 12, 2026. The event features a unique course from Landhotel Schäferhof up to the Gläserner Mönch, covering roads, cobblestones, dirt paths, and stairs, with expectations of sun, dust, and sandstone.
A special highlight is the legendary ascent of 222 steps, covering 111 meters of elevation, leading up to the sandstone rock.
There is something for everyone, from a Bambini run and a taster round to an 18km race with a triple ascent.

- Bambini Run: 500 m (Ages 6-7) - Starts at 09:45
- Kids Run: 1000 m (Ages 8-9) - Starts at 09:50
- Aktivlauf: 6 km (Ages 10+) - Starts at 10:00
- Herausforderung (Challenge): 12 km (Ages 12+) - Starts at 10:00
- Extreme: 18 km (Ages 16+) - Starts at 10:00
The event is known for its hilly profile, with each lap involving over 100 meters of elevation gain. After a 7-year break, this traditional event is back, promising to be more beautiful and challenging than ever.
