Gibside Wild New Year Trail Runs
Ready to kickstart the new year? Join us for the first race of the year, with our brand new 5 or 10-mile trail runs! With over 600 acres of gardens, woodland, and countryside, Gibside is a breathtaking 18th-century designed landscape, packed with wildlife, historic architecture, and spectacular views. Highlights include the Neo-classical Chapel, restored stable block, and the grand ruin — all while spotting deer along the way!
Event Distances:
- 5 Mile Trail Run (Age 15+)
- 10 Mile Trail Run (Age 17+)
Start Times:
The start times are expected to be 9am but this will be confirmed.

Canicross
This event is Canicross friendly — one controlled dog per runner is welcome!
Timing:
Live chip-timing provided by Timing Up North, with results available throughout the event.
The Finish Line:
All finishers will receive:

- A snack & drink
