Frome Running Festival - Half Marathon, 10K & 5K
Frome Running Festival takes place in Frome and includes a Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K on Sunday 16 August 2026. All races start and finish on the Old Showfield, Frome’s largest open green space, and use closed roads through the town centre.
The courses follow a road closed single loop circuit. The Half Marathon route runs out around Frome town centre and into the Somerset countryside and passes the English Heritage site of Nunney Castle. The 10K and 5K routes remain within Frome itself.
The event is Run Britain UKA licensed and the courses are officially measured. The festival is hosted by RunThrough and is held in support of Dorothy House Hospice Care. The final mile runs through the heart of Frome and includes a long downhill curve before the finish.

The Course
