Frieth Hilly 10k & 5k Run
Join us for the Frieth Hilly – a challenging, mixed-terrain race along winding woodland paths and country roads with stunning views. Set in the beautiful Chiltern Hills between Marlow and Henley-on-Thames, Frieth is only 35 miles from central London.
The course uses mixed terrain, including winding woodland paths and country roads. The route includes both uphill and downhill sections and provides views across the Chilterns. For the 10k, the route description divides into two halves: the first 5 km runs from Frieth through Fingest to Skirmett and is described as a gentler section, while the second 5 km returns with a notable climb back to Parmoor and Frieth. The 5k follows a shorter route through the local area.
What Our Runners Say
"Don’t let the name intimidate you! A cracking 10km route around Frieth and the local Hambledon valley with stunning views. Definitely worth getting out of bed for, a very well organised event" - Adam
"I ran the 5k route with my teenager. It was great fun - we had to walk a little but we both really enjoyed it" - Will
"When a race has the word 'hill' in its title, it can be worrying, but the Frieth Hilly had a great mix of both up and downhills. Surprised myself with my time, and I plan on running it again next year!" - Anonymous
"A run of two halves. First 5km a gentle run from Frieth, through Fingest to Skirmett, but the second 5km a challenging climb back to Parmoor and Frieth. Absolutely worth it for the views of the chilterns though!" - Rich
