Frederick County Parks and Recreation Youth Running Club
Our Youth Running Club is designed for kids who enjoy running or want to become stronger, more confident runners. Whether working towards improving fitness, or simply developing a love for the sport, participants will build endurance, learn proper running form, pacing, and teamwork in a fun and encouraging environment.
Participants should be prepared and willing to run continuously for approximately 2 miles during each practice. We welcome all paces, but runners should have a genuine interest in running and be ready to actively participate throughout practice.
Registration includes entry into Trails 4 Miles (September 26), the Thanksgiving Day 5K (Thanksgiving morning) and a intersquad mile fun run, providing opportunities to put new skills into action. Please bring running shoes, a water bottle, and a positive attitude. We can't wait to help your young runner reach new goals!
