Edge to Edge Marathon
The Edge to Edge Marathon takes place in Ucluelet on the west coast of Vancouver Island. The 26th edition is scheduled for 18 October 2026.
Event distances include:
- Half Marathon
- 10 km
The courses use the Wild Pacific Trail, a packed gravel coastal path through temperate rainforest. Trail sections provide views of the open ocean, rocky bluffs and rainforest.
The Half Marathon starts in Ucluelet, passes the harbour and boat basin, and runs beside the Tofino-Ucluelet Highway to Millstream before returning to Ucluelet via the Wild Pacific Trail to finish at the Community Centre. The 10 km course runs through Ucluelet, past the small craft harbour, onto the Wild Pacific Trail, passes Amphitrite Lighthouse and returns to the Community Centre.
The event highlights significant volunteer support and presents multiple ways to take part: racing, volunteering or sponsoring. Race results and photo galleries from previous years are available for reference. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Half Marathon
The Half Marathon starts in Ucluelet, runs past the Harbour and Boat Basin and then out of town beside the Tofino-Ucluelet Highway. Just past Millstream, the race turns around and heads back towards Ucluelet on the scenic Wild Pacific Trail. This part of the course takes in amazing views of the open ocean, rocky bluffs and the rainforest. After the trail section, the race returns to the Community Centre for the finish.

Our 10km race is a fun, scenic taste of the west coast. The course takes you through Ucluelet, past the small craft harbour and out onto the Wild Pacific Trail. The course carries on past the Amphitrite Lighthouse before heading back towards the Community Centre to finish.

The Wild Pacific Trail is a packed gravel, coastal path through temperate rainforest. Our 2026 Marathon course will make use of the undulating trail and its spectacular ocean views. Join us to celebrate the joint 26th Edge to Edge and the Wild Pacific Trail.
