Derwent Reservoir 10 & 5 Miler
The Derwent Reservoir 10 & 5 Miler is a returning trail running event held around Derwent Reservoir on the border of County Durham and Northumberland. The event is in its eighth year and offers routes that use mixed terrain around the reservoir.
The 10 mile route completes a full lap of the reservoir on closed roads and firm trails. The 5 mile route is run entirely on firm trails.
- 5 mile: all on firm trails. Canicross friendly, one controlled dog per runner.
- 10 mile: full lap of the reservoir on closed roads and firm trails. Not suitable for canicross.
A 2.5 hour cut off applies to the 10 mile route because of road closures. Live chip timing will be provided by Timing Up North. There is a parking charge on site and each vehicle must have a parking pass purchased for £3. Entry fees are shown from £22 to £29 with the 10 mile listed at £29 and the 5 mile at £26.
