Crush Cancer Lobster Crawl 5k Walk/Run and 1/2 Mile Kids Dash
Join us in Jonesboro, Maine on Saturday, July 11, 2026, for the 6th Annual Crush Cancer Lobster Crawl 5K walk/run & Kids Dash.
Race Schedule:
- Kids Dash: 8:30 AM
- 5K Walk/Run: 9:00 AM
Note: The 10K is on hold for 2026 and is expected to return in 2027. Virtual participants' packets will be mailed after the live event.
RACE LOCATION
Municipal Landing on Evergreen Point Road in Jonesboro, ME, 04648.
RACE COURSE
Kids Dash: An out and back route on a dead end road.
5K Walk/Run: An out and back route on a dead end road with scenic views of the Chandler River.
RACE DETAILS
- Participants receive a bib, medal, and cotton shirt (register before June 13 to guarantee a shirt).
- All race materials must be picked up prior to the conclusion of the event on July 11. Unclaimed materials will be donated.
- Race is held rain or shine. No refunds or bib transfers.
- No dogs allowed at the event.
KIDS DASH
The race will NOT be timed, and there are NO awards for the kids run.
AWARDS
Awards for the 5K will be presented to the Overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners (male & female), as well as for various age groups.
CHARITY & FUNDRAISING
This is a charity race benefiting Sarah's House of Maine and the Christine B Foundation. We will be collecting wishlist items for Sarah's House. Fundraising pages can be created, with recognition for the top team and individual fundraiser.
HONOR & REMEMBER
Participants are encouraged to create posters to honor or remember loved ones touched by cancer. Posters can be submitted by July 9, 2026.
The event was created in honor of Rebekah Hodgson & Andrew Cox's father, John, who is a cancer survivor. The goal is to bring people together and give back to non-profits supporting those affected by cancer.
